OAGD /AAID Implant Maxi-Course ®

Comprehensive Training Program in Implant Dentistry

September 2008 – June 2009

Portland, Oregon 

Over 300 hours of PACE approved continuing education

  Attendance is limited 

*Introduction and familiarization of different implant modalities

* Familiarization and Utilization of a minimum of 4 recognized implant systems (Participation segment)

 This is one of the most comprehensive implant dentistry training programs offered.  Presenters include renowned university faculty, world-class clinicians and top authorities in implant dentistry.  The program will be presented over a 10 month period.  This course is a must for all general dentists and specialists who want to be proficient in implant dentistry.

 Course Objectives:      This course will enable participants to:

·         Discuss the basic sciences as they relate to implant dentistry

·         Formulate a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment planning related to implant dentistry

·         Assess the many implant systems, their advantages or disadvantages and applications

·         Observe live surgical and prosthetic implant demonstrations on patients

Ten  2 - Day Sessions : 10 hours each day  - 200 hours total with 100 hrs of Online Sessions (as directed by course instructors)

Ten: 1 – Day Sessions for the Participation / Hands-On portion of course at OHSU School of Dentistry Alumni Clinic (80 hours total)

Each Didactic session will take place at Multnomah Athletic Club.  Instructors / Presenters will submit questions to course director and participants will be required to study, prepare, and answer these questions (within a given time period) to receive credit for the online hours.  The clinical and hands-on segment will take place at OHSU School of Dentistry Alumni Clinic
