Join us for an exciting course on dentistry myth busting!

Join us for a fast-paced morning of six speakers addressing myths and controversies that face us in dentistry. Faculty members from OHSU will introduce their topic, identify the opposing viewpoints, review the relevant research, explain their position on the topic based on the evidence, and answer your questions. Topics and speakers are as follows:

“You see what? Can I really interpret that from a panoramic radiograph?” Shawneen Gonzalez, D.D.S., M.S., Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Pathology and Radiology at OHSU.

“Enhancing dentin bond durability: Is it really possible?” Carmem Pfeifer, D.D.S., Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at OHSU.

“It may be strong, but can I bond to it? Cementation and repair of zirconia.” Scott Dyer, D.M.D., M.S., Ph.D., Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at OHSU and private practitioner.

“Restoration repair: Do those patches really work?” Tom Hilton, D.M.D., M.S., the Alumni Centennial Professor in Operative Dentistry at OHSU and co-Director of the PROH network.
