This two-day hands-on course will focus on all aspects of laser-assisted dentistry. It will follow the Tell, Show, Do and Teach Each Other teaching method utilizing a combination of lecture, hands-on laser exercises with extracted teeth and various soft tissue materials.  Learn how to set realistic clinical expectations and create an implementation plan to educate patients on the benefits of laser-assisted dentistry. You will receive a complete laser system overview that covers laser energy and safety, troubleshooting, tips selection and cleaning, and mirror replacement. You will also learn the art of using the dental laser unit’s preset functions with just the touch of the button. Your staff will learn insurance billing tips and marketing strategies to support the success of lasers in your practice.   

You will learn these 7 Fundamental Procedures:

• Soft Tissue Biopsy
• Class I & V Cavity Preparations
• Gingivectomy/Gingival Recontouring
• Frenectomy/Circumferential Fiberotomy
• Osseous Crown Lengthening
• Troughing for Crown and Bridge Impressions
• Endo Disinfection

Dr. Cassis will also introduce some concepts from his upcoming Advanced course that we are offering Friday and Saturday, March 14-15, 2014.

Speaker:Dr. Cassis is a graduate of The University of West Virginia School of Dentistry. He has advanced training in laser dentistry, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, oral sedation, occlusal diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Cassis includes in his accomplishments being awarded Mastership to the Academy of General Dentistry as well as Mastership Certification in Physics, Safety, and Regulatory Guidelines, and Clinical Applications with the Er, Cr: YSGG Laser from the World Clinical Laser Institute.
