Course Overview:

Contemporary orthodontic approaches have changed dramatically in recent years. This course will bring you up to date including discussions of expanded opportunities and new techniques including the advantages of CBCT imaging. The course will help you better be able to communicate to your patients the limitations of movement; what is possible and what is not. You will learn the latest on ortho and airways in adults and children. Dr. Crowe will help you coordinate referrals and even help you think differently about when surgery is necessary for long-term stability.

Course Objectives:

  • Understand existing biologic limits to orthodontics and new techniques used to overcome these limitations

  • Focus appropriately on airway in both adults and children and know the role dentistry can play

  • Understand the role of imaging technologies

About the Clinician:

Dr. Crowe attend Dental school at UCLA and her Orthodontic Residency at OHSU. She has served as clinical faculty at OHSU from 2009 – present and her current focus is clear aligner training with residents and general lectures to predoctoral students. Dr. Crowe is an American Board of Orthodontics Diplomate and owner of 2 private practices in Portland. She has had advanced training for and is one of the leading clinicians in Oregon of clear aligners.  She is also Botulinum Toxin trained for use with TMD and facial pain. Dr. Crowe is the proud mother of three children and she is married to an oral surgeon here in Portland.
