Course Overview:

Dr. Lou Graham will share the latest on non-radiologic caries detection. His research and clinically-based practice provide results that will help you set standards you won’t want to miss. Detecting caries earlier expands treatment options and will truly be a game changer in your practice. Dr. Graham will also provide billing and insurance coding strategies that could contribute to the financial viability of incorporating these modalities into your practice.

Dr. Doug Benting’s presentation will highlight the pluses and minuses of creating dentures for edentulous patients using digital technologies. He will provide a framework for practitioners considering this new technology and answer these questions: What problem am I attempting to solve with milled or printed technology? How can we meet our patient’s expectations for the final result? How flexible can I be when finalizing the design; shall I attempt this digitally or seek to modify following delivery? You will learn what analog fabrication steps are still critical for optimal prosthesis design. The presentation will include segments on full arch zirconia, printed and milled full removable prostheses as well as the implementation of high-performance polymers.

Dr. Brett Sullivan will speak on robotic assisted implant placement using Dynamic 3D Navigation. This lecture will show you how to elevate the precision and control of your implant procedures.Dr. Sullivan will demonstrate the workflow, from CBCT to planning to placement with intra-oralscanning, which will easily blend into your existing procedure to provide a higher level ofimplant accuracy.

Objectives:

1. Know the patient benefits to using non-radiologic caries detection

2. Learn when to apply minimally invasive dentistry

4. Incorporate practice management strategies that support new technologies

5. Learn to assess and plan for denture designs using digital versus analog methodologies

6. Understand Dynamic navigation and why it’s important to an implant practice

7. Compare the accuracy of dynamic navigation vs. free hand vs. static guides
