Course Overview:

Success with medical claims requires more than a knowledge of medical codes. Dental practices must navigate the smooth flow of information beginning with the doctor’s diagnosis to the properly documented claim submitted for payment. An understanding of Global Policies also greatly increases the success rate of medical claims filed. These topics will be covered in this course: medical coding scenarios for hard tissue surgeries (grafting and reconstruction/implants), trauma, appliances (TMD/OSA), and medically necessary dental restorations (crowns, buildups, root canals, etc.). A systematic approach to the claims and documentation process simplifies the most complex clinical coding situations. Once mastered, the path to payment becomes routine.
